Notebook for All Kids (NAK) Initiative.

Through NAK initiative, NG CARES in conjunction with Children Africa provide free notebooks (excise books) to children in Africa. Books are distributed in schools and in less privileged residential areas.

How It Works

The system is pretty simple. Notebooks bearing the images and names of the sponsors are printed and distributed to kids for free, to encourage education.

Members of the public that want to participate normally decide how many notebooks they want to sponsor, starting from 100 copies up. The sponsor’s image and name are printed clearly on the cover of the books they’re sponsoring (thereby making the person known and loved by kids across Africa, and at the same time providing kids with notebooks for school.)

For those who may not want their images printed on the cover of the books, their company’s logos, or other images of their choice which are children-friendly could be used.

In other words, parents, schools, teachers, and most importantly, kids, would know the face and the name of the person who made their education less grueling and stressful. If being famous for doing good and being known and loved by appreciate parents and kids is not the best way to be famous, then what is?

The cost of sponsoring notebooks is surprisingly low since they’re printed in Africa. It’s just about the cost of one cocktail drink in some bars.

Below are sample books with the images and names of sponsors.
